Default Z springs on coupe?

I have a set of z springs from when I had my touring 350Z. I was wondering if it would help my g to handle better and be a bit lower if I was to swap them with my factory springs. I know that teh spring rates are different.
350Z: 426/385 (F/R)
G35coupe & sedan w/sport: 355/308 (F/R)
I found that in another thread when I was searching for my answer to this question. I just don't know if z springs will make my G35 coupe sit lower. Anyone know?

form what i understand, the coupe and Z springs are exactly the same

347F/419R (or might be 345/417)

anyways, it is the shocks that are dampened stiffer for the Z. i have seen many coupes with Z springs, and since the coupe is heavier, it will typically go lower than a Z.

if you have .5" drop springs for the Z, the same springs will lower the couple about .75".

Oem rate data has changed, the previous data was in error. I did a post to correct myself, but many did not see the post as the incorrect data got saved on a awefull lot of computers since it keeps on cropping up. The corrected spring rates are 314/342. Of note is the fact that Hotchkis say's the oem rates are 310/350, we are close enough to confirm each other and the difference can be explaned by normal coil spring rate testor +or- error.

So, oem 350Z, G35 coupe and G35 sedan with sport spring rates are 314/342

To answer the question, yes Z and G coupe springs are the same parts. The 2 cars suspensions differ via radically different shock valving, with the Z shocks of course being a lot stiffer.

One thing to consider when looking at coupe aftermarket springs vs 350Z aftermarket springs is that the spring rates in performance terms are superior in the 350Z applications.

On the sedan with sport rates being the same. Nissan munipulated the wire diameter and number of active coils to get the same spring rate out of taller springs. The non sport sedan has spring rates that are about 10% soffer(softer dampners too).

So... If I put an aftermarket set of 350Z springs on my coupe, then I may be able to get it lower than if I was going to get g35 springs? I was going to go with the tein S-Techs but I still want to go lower than that. I can't afford coil overs though. What z springs would be good for that?

I ended up getting 350z H&R springs off ebay. I guess we'll see how they work. I'm going to measure the distance from teh top of my wheel wells to the ground so I can get an idea on what the drop is when I'm done. I'll be sure to let everyone know how they work.
