Default Impul ECU??

I met a guy this week who came into my store with his new EVO 8. He told me he just bought his wife a new G35 sedan and had started ordering his mods for it.

He mentioned that he was buying the ecu that impul makes. I'm not sure if its just a re-flash or if it is a whole ecu. He said he was told it made extremely high power increases. Has anyone heard of them making this for our car? I know they do some ecu stuff but I haven't heard of anything for the G35 or Skyline 350gt.

I am pretty sure all the JDM ecu's are just reflashes. I have seen ecu's from most of the JDM tuners, but they are not supposed to work on USDM cars. Where did he get his info?

Impul's is a reflash. Doesn't seem too different from TS; that is, slightly higher rev-limiter, minor changes to ignition timing, fuel maps, etc. Can't imagine anything more than a marginal HP increase (5-10HP). Your associate probably just wasted $1600.

I read through Technosquare's website last night becuase I haven't ever heard of them until then. It sounds like it is a really good system but after looking at their dyno sheet, I don't think it is worth the money (for now at least).

JDM ECU's are most likely using the same Techtom software to program or reflash the ECU's as Technosquare.

JDM ECU's are exactly that, for JDM only.

Will NOT work with USDM Z's.

We were the first ones in the country to have a reflashed ECU. We had semt our ECU to Mines in Japan. We then started working with Tecnosquare early on last yeat and did many back to back runs between the two ECU's.......... Technosquares always ran better hands down.
The one thing that Mines was able to do was zap the security in the ECU so that it could be swapped between any car and run.
