Damn I want those wheels on my R1.

What other exhaust components do you have? If just the y-pipe. How did it change the sound?? Also, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I havent dynoed the car yet but Mike from Unlimited Tuning is gonna get his car dynoed later today

the stock exhaust sounds the same till about 5K rpm then it sounds more raspier and less burble, it sounds VIOLENT at WOT.

I really cant tell the difference during regular driving but I tested it out this weekend and the car really pulls in the higher RPMs....4th gear reaching the century mark the car just wants to keep going

also keep in mind my car is an auto so unless I am shifting manumatic mode its harder for me to keep the rPMs up there

one thing I did notice is the hot air that emits from under the car that is felt when you open the door has been dramatically decreased. I dont know if its because the pipes help scavenge the exhaust fumes quicker or the metal used in the Unlimited Tuning's Y pipe has better heat resistant properties. ????

I had the y-pipe dynoed on my car and it made 6 HP at the wheels. BTW, I have 5AT G35.
It was 4 to 6 hp through the whole RPM scale which is
very significant. Nice bang for the buck.

Not much louder, a deeper smoother tone, very nice.
I agree 6hp to the wheels is very good.

I ran my car with the G-tech meter and it went 14.54 @ 99mph
stock. I Let the car cool down, changed the y pipe and ran it again
and it went 14.26 @ 101.09. I was amazed by the gains so i made
another run and it went 14.33 @ 101.79.
I have taken my car to the track(Island Dragway - N.J.) in stock form and my best run was 14.58 @ 97.73. Going back this weekend to confirm these gains with the y-pipe.

Yeah, it's about four pounds lighter. I love mine, very nice. I have some G-Tech info and pictures available at http://www.reasontech.net/gtech/.

I've noticed that the old Fujisubo Y-pipe looks identical to the Unlimited Tuning pipe, and when I spoke with the guys over there they said they'd made it for other companies but were going on their own now... hmm...

Anyhoo, I love the pipe. Easy install. Very nice. Anyone want a stock y-pipe?!
