Exclamation Where can I get stock chrome wheels???

I am looking for a set of stock chrome 18' wheels for the G35 coupe. I see some people have them or have been getting their originals dipped. I live in Maryland and I have not been able to find a wheel chroming shop anywhere.

Thanks.

I think I saw some on ebay last week. You could check there or have your dealer look into getting some for you. From what I was told the dealers just send them in to get dipped.

For years Infinti has issued TSB against chroming oem wheels due to the potential for structural changes in aluminum alloy!

The last recall on Q45 wheels voided individual recall if the wheels had been modified or chromed..........no matter who did the deed.

Gotta watch dealers they'll do anything to sell you something.

Interesting. Out of curiousity, what are the OEM chrome 35 Sedan chrome wheels made out of?

(Personally, I'm not a fan of chrome wheels...)

The chroming process is electro plating right? How would that effect the structure? All you're doing is plating chromium on top of the wheel, kinda like painting.

Where did you hear this?

I was planning to sell my 18" chrome factory wheels. Grubbs Infiniti had they factory wheels chromed. My G35 had the performance wheel package with 225 & 245 on chrome 18" but they shipping to Maryland might not be worth the cost.

y you want chrome wheels???? they are one of the worst from performance perspective. Plus, unlike polished aluminum, if the chrome quality is bad, it will peel over time.

Chrome is heavy yes, but it's only a thin film of chromium on the wheels themselves so the weight will go up but I don't think it will be a massive performance robbing amount.

Do you have an more pictures of the wheelsTXREFI? There is just one or two good ones of the wheels in the link. And peeling problems? And where did you get them? The dealer? Where did they have them plated at?
