I was parked next to another G with Tein S-Techs and 19's and it was not noticeably lower they mine with a stock suspension. I think pics of 19's on stock suspension G's give the illusion it's 4x4'ing.

you should see 20's without a drop you can definetly go 4x4'ing,

but IMO 19's on a G must be dropped there just too much of a gap.

babiephat, do you have subs in the back? for some reason the back looks lower than the front or is it that difference in the profile of the tire

It all depends on what springs and how low the drop is, if you want something with a nice drop and good ride quality I've heard the Tein S-tech and the RSR are really good and you shouldn't have any problem scraping anything, but if you got the cash to spend coilovers are the way to go and you can adjust to your needs.

I have a 1" drop all around and you do have to be very careful with scraping. I don't get any closer than a foot to a parking lot curb in the front and you will have to angle yourself out of some steeper driveways.

You'll definitely scrape more often but I think the looks and performance outweigh it.

NismoGCoupe: The tires are 245/35/19F and 275/35/19R... I just had a bunch of **** in my trunk... I think it's because of the offset, the rear rims sit really flush with the fenders. With the color combination, you really can't notice too much of a gap in the wheelwells. Some people go with 245/40/19's in the front to fill the gap and not have to lower, but then that's not the ideal condition...

Am still thinking about lowering, but then that presents a new set of problem cause then I'll be looking at Camber/Toe kits if I drop it more than an 1". My accord was lowered and had to worry about scrapping like a mad man

I kinda like the smooth ride and not having to go sideways on speed bumps, worrying about scrapping, etc... I'll just invite some "Big Boned" friends to sit in my car if I want that dropped look when I cruise...

Oh and yes, I do plan on getting a system put in... so that'll drop it 1/16"...

yeah, my front tire were gone after 10,000 miles, what sux about is the tires had about 80% tread left on it but the inner wall was worn down to the belts, Im not looking foward to spending $600 for tires every 10K miles (good thing I won $700 in AlanticCity the week before), now I have to make the move to buy the frnt/rear camber kit (hopefully I win that money in Vegas).

ALL... on EVEN?!!!?! Roll...

That's why I don't wanna drop yet... it's not just springs... it's the $h!t gotta get with it too. The Camber/Toe kit... alignment... etc. I think I'll feel the effects of a better system first...

If you don't plan on keeping your G35 too long then do not lower for better resale value. Otherwise, lower lower lower. I have 19" rims with Tien flex coilovers and 1" drop and you have to slow down when going over driveways with steep incline and speed bumps.
