Default Convince me to get a G35 over a 330ci

Hey guys any reasons why I shouldnt get a BMW 330ci over a G35 coupe???

I currently drive a 323ci, but am in need of more power. THe fact that the 05's will have 295hp appeals to me.

Convince me.....please

Better exterior styling, more power, similar handling, women dig it, costs less... did I mention that women dig it?

The 330 ci is an excellent car, but the styling is dated and it needs about another 50 hp. The interior is nice though.

They both are great looking cars. It all depends on what you are looking for. Modifying the G35 coupe to gain hp performance can be quite expensive assuming that is in the picture for the future. By the time I am done with all my mods, I will be around $30k and yet it is not even close to the raw power my 2004 MB E55 AMG has. You can't go wrong with either car.

Both cars are awesome... I guess it's all personal choice. However, I'd pick the G35 because it's sportier and much sexier.

they're coming out with a completely new 3 series(4 series if we're talking about a coupe) soon? maybe that's good enough reason on top of all the reasons people already mentioned...

plus, there's always the M3 looming over your head if you're driving the 330i....

That was the same problem for me also. I was in the market for a 4 door. Either 330, is300 or g35 sedan. But for some odd reason I ended up with a G35 coupe???? No regrets here.

Get the coupe without a doubt. I just sold my 02 330ci and currently looking to pick up a g35 or 350z. BMW's are good cars but are deffenitly not worth the $$$. The quality and reliability are way over rated.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the replys...

How is the vision from the drivers seat? People were saying it is extremely hard to see out the back window. Any comments? I don't really have that problem in my 323.

Keep em coming, thanks

Seeing out of the back window is not a problem. There is a blind spot on the driver side, but careful adjustment of the side and rear mirror should fix that.

It's actually a tough decision. I recommend going to a Bimmer forum and asking the same question so you can hear "the other side" and make a better decision.

I spend all my time on BMW forums, mostly DTMPower.net, considering I drive a bimmer...

I am just really interested in the G35 coupe that I had to know the opinions on it.....

I think I will give the 2005 a test drive, and who knows?!

Thanks for the comments.

it's a matter of preference, go test drive both and see what you like, i chose the G because it has a unique exterior styling, pretty decent performance, not bad interior, and was a lot less, what more could you ask for

Well....

Stock for Stock G has more power.
Can probably be modified more reliably.
Less $ and probably less $ on repairs (outside warranty)

IMO - side by side, the G will get more stares and compliments.

I've had mine for two 1/2 weeks and I've gotten compliments from two Porche 911 and BMW owners!

The new 3 & 4 series are coming out, so buying a BMW 330 doesn't make sense unless you get a very deep discount. Even at that, I would hate to drive a brand new car that becomes outdates in a year. Test drive both cars and decide for yourself.
