However, you are starting off with a heavier, slower, and less F/R balanced than the 2 wheel drive variants.
Not that I'm into this whole idea, but just a casual observation and only for the sake of conversation. I picture this, oem coupe sitting on corner scales, G35X also on corner scales. Can we really draw a conclusion that each cars scale numbers would really show all that different to truely impact the entire performance picture in relation to F/R balance. And the differance in weight is only 200lbs between a, a/t coupe and the G35X, with the majority of the AWD equipment down extreamly low (low CG). Now, it's not just the drivetrain that's adding the X's extra weight, it's the fact that the suspension is different, much of weight saving aluminum is ditched in favor of heavier steel parts.
Frankly, I'd rather work the RWD setup then settle for a AWD-a/t-open front diff combo, IMO.

One nagging detail remains unresolved, the X uses a different front suspension. The front sway bar is totally different, no aftermarket sway bars exist for the X for that reason. It also remains a unanswered question if any aftermarket shock or coilover will work on the car in the front either. We have seen one X owner use regular sedan Eibachs to lower his car, still looking to resolve the shock/coilover issue however.
To be fair, on the front sway bar, their is a company that you can sent a oem bar and the oem mounting hardware to and they can make a thicker copy of it.
