How can I tell if I've got an 04 or 04.5?

I'm interested in this mod, and it says it won't work on 04.5 and up....

 

By your VIN. I don't know for certain where the disc is since I think Trey took it to work but I had a disc for the service manual on the 04.5 and it gave the starting VIN for the 04.5. PM Trey and see if he can put his paws on the disc since he had it last.

 

the year and month made should be on the frame, when you open the door, drivers side.

 

VIN – from: E~4M600001 & F~4M70
(took mine to work too - but unfortunately I drag my computer bag with work crap home every night, kept disc in there)

Thanks Cherly, i sent Trey a PM then saw Sean's post (i figured u meant the door jam)

Mine is 08/03, i'd say its pretty safe to assume that is an 04 not 04.5

Now I just need my tax return to get that mod done. Has anyone else here done it?
