I did the washer trick for the STB and it worked out fine.
To me the only issue right now is the fact with the Kinetix V4 that you lose 10lb/torque for 2hp. Is that true?

Not really sure where you got those statistics but that didn't hold true for me. Albeit I did losse low end with the edition of the HF cats and plenum.....this is to be expected. However after I did the ECU flash I regained the low end.

I know I gained more than 2hp. As for torque, you'll get it back if you tune it or get a ECU flash.

I dont think they would market a product like that if it only gained 2 hp and lost 10 lb ft of torque. I'm sure the out of the box results are better than that and will probably increase depending on what other mods you have and tuning or a reflash. I just ordered the V4 so i guess i will find out.

I agree. I just ordered mine as well and I will just have to see.

I just don't understand how most people claim that they gained noticeable and dyno proven horsepower yet there are others that claim they lost or gain minimal horsepower.

Something fishy is going on and there has to be other parameters that factor in to this.

Once you guys get them, will you do me a favor after you install them and tell me how you feel about it. Could you tell a difference? How was the quality? and so on.

I can tell you now. I definately gained power. Not uber amounts but you could definately tell it was quicker. After that, I did the TS flash and it was REALLY noticable. Just as an FYI, my dyno with exhaust/intake/HF cats/JWT flywheel/ver.4 plenum/ was 259.7whp. After flash and before my pullies it was 276.7.

I'm still so undecided between the two. By the way, what companies offer the ECU Reflash? How much?
