Does anyone have this combination....

i am looking to purchase these two mods. The exhaust is said to make about 10 hp and the y-pipe is said to make 6..

I know they don't add up to 16, but will the gain of the y-pipe be so small that it would be neglectable?

will the car sound like a fart can with the y-pipe and exhaust combination?

No, the car does not sound like a fart can with these two. The y pipe makes the exhaust note a little deeper and maybe a tad louder i think. To be honest, i dont have the best butt dyno, so i'm not sure if it added that much hp. It definately didn't hurt anything and that y pipe looks very good for the price. If you are planning on running without the silencers, it will be LOUD.

If you are installing both at the same time, i'm sure you will feel some difference in performance. Everything i've had has gone on at separate times so i haven't really noticed but i'm sure i've gained some hp.

 

i have both of those as well. the sound is awsome and its loud, not ricey at all. i didn't dyno it, but i feel a little more mid punch not much to really get exicited over though. I bought it for the sound and i love it!

 

I talked to Rudy in Gruppe-S and he is willing to send me to me for about 1000 dollars flat. Well, I am getting a bunch of other stuff, but I am not sure if it will turn my car into a civic
