WARNING! Do not buy JIC Spartan Type 2
Just in case anyone was thinking about purchasing this exhaust... I am warning you not to. The fitment was horrible, the welds were weak and it was an overall POS exhaust. The rear hanger welds broke off of the muffler on both sides. The mid-pipe is two pieces which connect with a sleeve instead of a flange. It slipped again and again until I had it welded. On more than one occassion the exhaust fell off of the rear hangers. This was due to really cheap hangers that bended and flexed with every bump.
The JIC Y-pipe is top notch and I still have it on my car.
Please do not ruin your Holidays or anyone else's by purchasing this exhaust.

Yes, JIC isn't the best with customer service. If you are looking into getting a similar exhaust, you can try the magnaflow. It's made by JIC, but has flanges, instead of a slip pipe, and fitment is really good. However due to the size of the piping on the exhaust, you really can't get around the fact that the piping barely clears the rear sway bar, differential case, and under chasis brace. The performance gains are really good, and the sound is very nice. The weight reductions is absolutely awsome too. But you really have to play with the hangers to get it adjusted to clear everything.
I actually had one other issue with the exhaust as well from JIC, and that was the resonator broke apart from the welds inside the actual piping, and began to rattle very loudly. It took a long time to get my exhaust back from JIC because I had them warranty it.

I kept the JIC Y-pipe on and added a NISMO exhaust. The JIC Y-pipe makes more sense to me. It has less bends than the NISMO Y-pipe. But of course I am holding onto the NISMO Y-pipe... just in case.
Hey Tony,
I just ordered the JIC spartan exhaust (Titanium) This guy on this thread is saying that it's crap. Should I reconsider? I would be pretty pissed off if I spent over 1000.00 for junk. Your thoughts?
Thanks, Jason I.

I have used JIC products, and now I am back using their single exit exhaust and am loving it. It sounds great and is much lighter. Their y-pipe is top notch, very good quality. I do knot that JIC's customer service sometimes is still a bit bad at following through, but it's getting better. And as for that particular exhaust, I have never heard of anything like that before in my life, with any company's exhausts.....
