resonated test pipes

www.kinetixracing.com
www.labreemotorsports.com

you can also get regular non resonated test pipes for cheaper, but you exhaust will sound raspy as hell

if that's not loud enough you can get headers after that

you can take the car to a muffler shop, and have them remoe any resonators that may be on the car. Also, getting straight pipes instead of stock cats. Headers will help too. Lastly, disconnect the muffler! haha

I have headers and NISMO exhaust and it is loud. Not make you deaf loud, but loud. It may be a little louder than normal because I have a supercharger. But I would agree, if you want loud, get resonated test pipes because rasp sucks.

here's is a little basic info

non resonated test pipes are just regular test pipes... a test pipe is nothing more then a straight pipe that replace the stock catalytic converter (cat, think of it as a filter for your exhaust that bolts up between the header and exhaust, it turns carbon monoxide and other pollutants into co2 and water) since the Z has 2 cats, you get two test pipes

test pipes are pretty cheap, you shouldn't pay more then $200 for them... a downside other then the pollution, is that they add a "raspy/buzzing" sound when you rev or accelerate (unless you have turob/supercharger) so people who want to eliminate that raspy noise go w/ resonated test pipes

resonated test pipes are the same thing as test pipes, except they have a little chamber which eliminates the raspy noise

high flow cats will also make your exhaust louder, but not as loud as test pipe (resonated or not) high flows are just replacement cats for your stock ones that are higher flowing

I heard having a SC on your car makes it more quiet... seriously.

isn't it a turbocharger that makes things quieter?

I have the nismo exhaust, crawford headers, crawford cats, crawford plenum, JWT cams, and JWT intake. It's quite a bit louder than stock, but not annoyingly loud like "hey look at me, I'm driving down the street to get groceries" loud

My brother and dad both said they could hear me about a half mile away just driving normally

I was seriously considering resonated test pipes, but heard with cams and headers they will rasp a little. I would be alright with it being just a tad louder, but I hate rasp and decided dealing with emissions would be a pain

No, Turbo's make your car quieter. Turbo's use exhaust gas to spin up the impeller, which in turn muffles the sound quite a bit.

The supercharger is belt driven and is significantly louder on intake and exhaust.
