Question JWT pop-charger, any good??

Just placed an order for a JWT pop-charger after reading about the 6.5whp gain claim. Then I came across some threads with these horror stories (stalling, messing sensors,...etc)

So what is the deal here? Shall I fix it when I get it?

I need the guys with this kit to give some feed back about it please

Thanks in advance

I have had mine for a year now, no problems. There is no need to mess with the sensor during install. Do not add any additional oil to the filter. Just follow the intructions that come with the Pop Charger carefully and enjoy.

6.5whp haha, where did you read that? Its a great mod, but dont look for extra power, its all about the sound!

Dont worry about installation, just do as wrendon said. I am probably one of the least mechanical ppl here on the forums and I was able to install mine by myself no problem.

that is the most true intake dyno you will see...

if you see a dyno where an intake gains in the low RPM's then something is definatly wrong there...

Question

I got the popcharger installed for about a week. I don't notice any difference. All the people are talking about the great sound it puts out. How come I don't hear any difference in sound? How does it sound different than the OEM?
Hope I didn't do anything wrong with its installation.

Ive narrowed your problem down to 3 possibilities:

1. You are deaf.
2. You installed it backwards.
3. You havent gone WOT over 4000 rpms.

You are really making me worry now!
JWT popcharger = a filter + and a metal plate, right? What could be wrong here?
I had my friend sit in the car. he didn't hear anything either, except the rev noise from the engine. I did rev it many times since that, even to the redline!
no whisling what so ever!

i installed mine like 3 weeks ago and only noticed diff. above 4k but felt more sluggish. i don't know if it was the popcharger but my idle is worst now and dips below 500 rpm.

I've had my popcharger for over one year, and 21,000 miles. I've never had my car die on me, but then again, I don't pop my car into neutral after getting the car past 100mph. It just doesn't sound right to do that anyway.

I'm actually thinking of getting rid of mine, and putting the stock box back in because it is too loud for me at WOT. It still sounds cool, but it sure attracts a lot of attention.

"loud" as in the whistling sound or the growl past 4k?
