there is a whole section dedicated tp intake and exhaust. its completely subjective, most exhausts make the same power.

IMO, Fujitsubo Super Ti Titanium Exhaust is hands down the best lookin exhaust. it's proven +9hp gain too. and its made in Titanium. only 11kg.

i like the way the 5Zigen sounds, its got a very unique deep tone to it...though ive never heard it in person. Another thing is, ive never seen any dynos for it either...but yea!! anybody around la/walnut have this exhaust (i dont mean to hijack the thread, but i really wanna hear this exhaust!!)

ditto

but no exhaust system is complete without a nice set of high flow cats or test pipes.

Wow these posts just keep creeping up. Everything is subjective, there is no "BEST" anything. Everyone needs a different part depending on what they like or want to do with their car. If you are a full race car for example you may not even run an exhaust, etc..... Just do a search, research the items, and go from there.

Only YOU can find out what's the best for YOU.

But here are my favorites as far as price, sound etc. go:
Nismo, Injen, HKS Ti, JIC titanium single exit.

Let's ask Sport Z to do a follow-up shootout to their last fall write up. I thought it a great objective piece but only included I believe four aftermarket exhaust systems. If I'm not mistaken it was Injen angled, Stillen, Nismo, and one other??

I think Sport Z should do and exhaust shoot out again. Since there are many exhaust wasn't included in the test, plus there are few new exhausts released after the first shoot out.

The lightest one you can buy is going to be the best as far as perfromance imo. The hp increase from any catback is marginal at best. Your better off going for 50lbs of weight reduction and a couple hp. I use the single outlet JIC ti. It weighs 10lbs and I didnt dyno is seperately but with y-pipe i makes 16 hp 12tq to the wheels. Not the best gains but i dropped nearly 60lbs total.

My bad, SportZ tested the factory exhaust as baseline plus five aftermarkets; Nismo, 5Zigen, Borla, Stillen, & Injen angled.

Agree, weight is very important. I was surprised to see in the "shootout" that Stillen weighed 25 lbs heavier that stock. That would certainly have some overall net effect compared to just dyno results.

I think the dyno graphs are nice to get an idea at where power is being developed and what the tradeoff, if any, is between hp and tqe. I'd like to know too if the system develops an interior drone at any given rpm. Although SportZ wasn't specifc about drone, they did mention db levels at idle and 3k rpm.

As far as the search goes, there are no shortage of opinions.

Id say anything besides stock. IF you acually take the stock exaust off, you'll see how restrictive the system is.......
