As with every other exhaust system out, how much horsepower?

Price seems competitive with B&B but performance is what will make the difference.

e-mail SPL Parts and ask for Kuah, he sources parts from japan and can get you anything + great customer service. I messed up on the price the yen conversion comes to $580usd, sorry.

$580 is a good price. How much louder is this than stock? I certainly do not want that coffee can obtrusive sound that you hear from a mile away. If it is a nice smooth/mellow sound, like the magnaflow street series I may jump.

This price is definitely more appealing. I have been leaning towards the B&B but I am going to wait as prices seem to be coming down. Hopefully, the performance is good enough to justify it. Let the dyno wars begin!

What would a fair install price be for this mod?

DIY...looks like a direct bolt up to factory flanges and hangers. Should be an easy job.
