Two reasons i didn't want to go with crawford actually 3.
1. money of course
2. i heard a rumor you have to pull the motor off its mounts to install (yeailding a very hard install whihc jacks up install costs)
3. They are so big they need to be coated with jethot becuase they come dangerous close to fuel lines etc

some companys i have come across for under 900 of around
strup
nismo
stillen
borla(woundlnt get)
DC
Topspeed

so basically i would save of the extra money but its all about the install basically

Why not save your money and get Nexus/Alphawerks headers, I believe they can be installed just like those other one's, and they make similar gains to Crawford, over 12hp with other mods, and over 18hp with nothing else.

No, they proved it. And, they've offered to prove it again when the set comes in this month.

I believe a member of this board posted dyno's of the Alphawerks headers gaining 21whp and 16 tq? I believe it was also SCC that tested their stuff and got like 19 whp and 15 tq as well.

unless u r runnin some good power mods (cams, nitrous, sc), no set of headers is goin to b worth it, imo. if u r goin to b runnin something big, then u should get what u pay for; the more u pay for em, the better gains u should see. i got my dc's from summit when they were like $275, btw . w/ what i got now, i didn't really notice a diff though.

I've heard Crawford headers are supposed to be the best but I havn't really seen a pre/post dyno of them. I just installed a set of Top Speed headers and dynoed them.

I have topspeed headers installed, i felt a noticable gain on the top end and meaner sound from the motor, while the Crawfords may make more power, the price/hp with the topspeeds cant be beat!
