Nismo sport catalytic converters
Let me see if I get this right.
1100 for nismo headers.
1200 for the nismo cats
900 for the nismo cat back
So 3200 bucks for a complete nismo exhaust that might deliever you 20 horsepower or so.
I know speed cost money but thats about insane.

$900 for NISMO headers
$350 for Kinetix cats
$600 for NISMO headers (new off eBay)
$250 for NISMO intake
And got 267rwhp for $2100. Still insane.... but very satisfying.

Or you could get the Kinetix 2.5" y-pipe and keep the stock midpipe.

So you got two sets of nismo headers?
Does that double the horsepower :P
Seriously, Why two sets?

Id be very curious to see the flow numbers on these nismo cats vs crawford or kinetix, but as others have stated they are very high quality and are built to last as long as OEM cats (100k miles) which is why they command a very high price tag. Dealer prices on stock cats are extremely high for this reason.
I have had the NISMO cats for over a year now -- which was part of the total JDM NISMO Sports Resetting package I had installed.
They are great .. not raspy (just a little when really powering up in 5th gear on the expressway) and there have been absolutely no problems.

www.Gruppe-S.com now has metal substrate cats for under $500! I will be calling in my order on Monday.

I changed the exhaust to a JDM cat and header on my ITR. I installed the entire header and cat system including every cover, nut and bolt.
It all looked "factory", which it really was.
The cat passed visual inspection at the place I went to in CA and it passed the sniffer test as well so I was home free.
If the Nismo cats look "factory" to visual, which I doubt would happen if Nismo headers are installed as well, and the car passes sniff you would be home free,
If the car does not pass either inspection, you are screwed.

if your car does not pass when you try to go for a checkup, can you just put your stock parts back on and go for a 2nd test? Or are you screwed after your first attempt?
so they flow more because a store selling them says so.....ok. Whether one does or not, the practical differences in performance are going to be negliable on an NA setup.

At least, I *think* that's how it works.

It only takes about an hour to swap em back, even though the top front mani bolts are a biatch to reach.
