I don't think you have to, otherwise they would be sold together.

This is the exhaust I want, so I will be getting both the Y-Pipe and the exhaust, though I think I'm going to save up for the Titanium version.

I got the exhaust first, y-pipe later. I would get the whole thing if you could. It helps both sound and power to get the y pipe asap. May save on shipping too.

Bottom line is it does not matter. You will be thrilled either way.

Definitely check out the Gruppe-s y-pipe. I have it and it is a fine peice. It also will save you a bit of $$$ and provide the same function. I got my Fuji and the y-pipe at www.gruppe-s.com at a great package price.

Give them a call.

The Fujitsubo Pricing has gone up for the new year :-/

You can install them in any order.

The NISMO Exhaust has a very simliar sound (little louder then Fujitsubo) same exact piping except the NISMO does NOT of the H-Pipe in th Y-Pipe. And the Fujitsubo Tips are larger single walled tips...

NISMO Exhaust goes for $900 shipped for forum members and includes Y-Pipe - Mid-Pipe - Muffler - Exhaust Hardware.

NISMO Cat Back Exhaust...

$900 Shipped for forum members...

Basicly the same as the fujitsubo but fits the car better IMHO the way the tips are angled and dual walled... gives it a more finished look then the fujitsubo... sounds about the same too... maybe a tad louder...

Another good setup would be the Injen SES as it is around $800 and includes the Y pipe.

I love the HKS setup. I just installed it last night on a friends car and it is great. You were not happy that the other setup cost $1200 so why would you spend $1400 on the HKS?

I moved it because you didn't post it in the right section. Just like i'm going to have to move this one and merge it with your other one. It's under "Modifications and Technical", then go to "Performance", then "Intake/Exhaust".

I have the Pro-1 Y pipe currently and wanted to order the fuji in about 3-4 weeks from now. I think street image or some other vendor had a special on the fuji exhaust for like 810 installed...but dont quote me on that....they had like an install day where you can buy and get installed at a meet in Calif. Unfort. im 3k miles away in VA, and the best deal I have seen on a fuji is $850, if I can get $800 shipped...i might just jump on it.

one exhaust gives you more power over another is because of flow now weather the flow to backpressure "ratio" is correct for your setup. The z has a pair of headers that lead into a y pipe then into a single chamber muffler so it has essential 1 pipe. The single pipe systems (Y pipe) usually are 3" in diameter and the true dual setup are 2.5" i believe so they both yeild about the same results up top but true duals loose alittle bit down low N/A not sure about FI and as for single exit exhaust i would jsut leave that for FI hope this helps

I say false. They are both about the same. The Fuji is quieter for sure.
