Why? To see the differences in the dino results? That's what I'm doing. If that's not the case, what is?

AEM already has dyno results which are about the same. Their CAI is much cheaper. They also offer a short ram version.

That would probably lose power..lol. I just wonder which one will come out first... The AEM they said is another 4-8 weeks before it reaches production, the Injen is another 2-3 weeks.. I wonder... Whichever one comes out first i'm getting it, screw the price..

What if they come out at the same time? Will you get both?

why hasnt anyone addressed the ecu ISSUE. I thought we had to reprogram the damn thing to get any mods. Countless people have said this, and this is the supposed reason takao got a loss in HP from the titanium exhaust.

SO WHICH IS IT?

1) the ecu must be programmed to accept performance mods

2) the $3k titanium exhaust was designed so badly it just lost power

3) all exhausts may lose power with this car

The exhaust and intake combo from Nismo was like a combined 8-10HP I believe, and that was measured at the flywheel meaning the Nismo stuff sucked I think..All of these dyno's are at the wheels if i'm correct.

Remember, 8 HP @ the wheels translates to more @ the flywheel..

I'm sorry, but those dyno number suck. Before the intake, they got 228.8 hp at the wheels. Assuming a 15% drivetrain loss(the normal for a manual), the car only has 269 hp at the flywheel. After the intake, the car has 232.8 hp at the wheels. Again, assuming the same 15% drivetrain loss, that translates to 274 hp at the flywheel. Don't those numbers seem a bit low? I guess the only good thing is that the run was consistent and showed a gain when every other factor remained the same. I also read the small print under the dyno run, and it said it was run in 3rd gear, which is the 1:1 gear for all manual cars(usually), so that was an accurate dyno run.

If I recall correctly, the Z's 1:1 gear is in 5th? Or was it 4th? Anyway, that dyno would not be correct.

so since there is 8hp going to the flywheel, we have 8hp*85%=6.8hp gain to the wheels. I think the fact that your wallet is so much lighter will make the car go faster more than the increased flow.

Wanna read it again? It shows 7.6HP gain max, and 8.1 lbs/torque gain max... Those measurements are at the WHEELS. That's 85% of what is at the flywheel. So basically the car gains about 10HP over the stock at one point (measured at the flywheel)....You switched your numbers around and confused yourself.

All dyno's will be different. You need to just look at the before and after gain, and that is impressive.

Well the B&B exhaust made power so.....sadly, it looks like number 2 might be correct. (and the weight savings sounded so good too )

n2o... what a great modification, I wish I could get 50-70hp for about 8seconds. the rest of the time you just added 50lbs to your car.

if you plan forced induction, skip the intake, they come with their own. but exhaust is required to accept all the extra exhaust gas from the extra power.

Im not sure if Ill get an intake, but not because 7hp isnt worth 300$ or so. if you think thats not worth it, you are sorely misinformed. there is no big horsepower gain for cheap, these are the most basic and fundamental mods that are always considered first.

The nismo car right now is just using an air filter. I dont believe it has its own cai yet, but im sure it will (whether it be from nismo or another company).
