Hey my Dad would like to know how much horse power he could get from the AEM cold air intake system? Also could you tell me if the engine could get damaged from it taking in water or does it block water from coming through??? Thanks,

You won't get much over stock for two reasons:

1) There is no direct airflow on the filter.
2) The stock intake tube is replaced with a metal one that becomes heat soaked more easily.

You can buy the AEM with a bypass valve that will prevent water from getting sucked up, but if you don't use it, then you could theoretially hydrolock your engine if your area is prone to flooding.

 

I went with injen, but your dad will be much happier with the JWT intake (cheaper too). Much easier to install also!

 

hey whats the best intake? im thinkin of doing that upgrade first. does anyone ahve first hand experience with the intakes? any noticable difference...sound, hpower,tourque?, low end? high end?
any info would be appreciated
