Default K&N Oil Filter HP 1008

Cheapest place I found was Advance Auto Parts for $11.88. Anyone know of any other places cheaper, either online or local auto part stores?

I am currently using Mobil-1 Oil Filters ($10) but want to change to K&N. Thoughts?

Thoughts are: Your paying alot of money for a filter with a socket wrench adapter on the end.

Can't remember the site name right now, but there was a place that had them around $7/filter on sale... I'll let you know the name of the site when I get home. I found the deal from another member on this board some time last year.

They're the same filter. Both are made by Champion Labs. You'll pay more for the one inch nut on the end. Otherwise, the K&N and Mobil 1 are the same.

Gotcha, guess I am sticking with the $9.99 Mobil filter. The cool thing about the Mobil filter is my Maxima uses the same exact filter,

Sticking with Mobil-1. Now onto this 7500, 15000 mile High Performance stuff Mobil-1 makes, hmmm?

The K&N HP-1008 oil filter is $8.97 (list is $13.80) at ajusa.com. Not as good as what I got three of them for, but better than the $10/filter spent for the Mobil-1 filters as indicated by Zand. FYI

Oh, and free ground shipping (with minimum order of $18.97).

I've been using the K&N HP1006. This filter has the same pressure specs as the 1008, is a smidge bigger in the OD and a little longer for more capacity. Also the seal is an "O" Ring rather than a gasket. Bottom line is, fits fine and, IMO, works great. I buy them from ajusa.
