i have a stock 05 Z, installed the megan racing test pipes today no ses light but my Z sounds like craaaaap

do all test pipes sound the same or is there differences from one brand to another

I've not put test pipes on but looking to put headers on from megan racing, maybe its the brand?

other than the thermostat everything else is completely stock

 

there will be a difference between brands, mainly due to the resonator size though.

Our resonators are a little more than twice the size of the megan racing pipes so are going to more effective in holding down rasp.

 

i think the main reason for rasp is thin pipe wall.... test-pipes should have heavy gauge steel piping.

my next mod is the magnaflow catback if the rasps still there ill get the Kinetix test pipe for sure

 

Dude, do a forum search for Megan Racing & whisp! There are alot of us that are having the whisp problem and it's not just with MR pipes. Do the research. I'm not sure if anyone has solved this problem yet though. I was one of the first to post about the whisp issue.
