somewhere between 288 and 1,000 but probably closer to the first than the later.

I think we will be happy with phaze 2 if everything works like it should. We should be where we need to be against the competition.
Its not just in power but handling, brakes and aero.

I know you'll be selling some stuff but will you be releasing ALL the stuff you use on your race car (like headers, exhaust, intake, and suspension components). Would you sell in "phases"?
I am happy to wait until after you are done testing and a few other more brave souls than myself have purchased and used whatever you will be selling.
I just want to make sure after you are done testing that you will be posting full details when you are ready to ship! (or shortly before that is....

We are not running turbos............
At the present time our susepsnion pcs are not for sale. We need more testing time.
We are not selling parts just to sell parts in the aftermarket.
We are out to win races.......if our products are not good, we wont win races. We do think however, that by racing our own parts, it gives us a strong advantage over other aftermarket companies.
We are mainly going to concentrate on suspension parts for resale. We are running a MOTOEC system for the ECU.

equal-length
Most mass produced cars have exhaust manifolds which, even if the manufacturer might label "equal length", are in reality far from that. Talk to any good custom header fabricator, and you'll find that their definition of equal length and a marketing brochure are quite different.
Further, max power gains are not just a function of equal length, but also heat retention, proper length tuning for exhaust gas scavenging at a desired rpm range, equal pressure tubes, and collector design.
Be patient, I'm sure some good designs will be available for a reasonable price given the installed base and demand of the motor in Z.
Someone mentioned Top Secret being the only show in town for headers. Veilside also sells the same headers for the same expensive price. I've seen sus headers for V-8 cars in Japan topping 400,000 yen. Link for veilside headers :

(edit: its me roberto350z using Nizl computer again)
the Z club im in did a dyno day with a 280z. We added exhaust first, then high flow exhaust, the throttle body and finally added the headers. I dont remember the #'s exactly, but I do remember everybody shaking their heads when we looked at the results for the headers. The conclusion was that, for the 280z at least, the stock headers were just as good as the aftermarket for every application except for FI. Just a counterpoint...

I am not saying 30-40 on headers, but I am sayng they are wil be worth better gans than a the stock exhasut manifold. The stock air intake is pretty good and peoeple are willing to spend 300 on a intake that gain 5 HP, and 1200 on a exhasut that gains 8 hp.
I think the headers will be worth 15 + ecsp with other after market parts( proper exhaust and intake) Which if you look at cost vs % gain is not that bad.

30 hp isnt going to happen with the 3.5 VQ. A guy on the Maxima forums found decent gains by swapping the manifolds to Fed spec and using an off road y-pipe. It was no where near 30 hp though.
i think valuetl is also saying once you have the whole intake system throttle body cai etc. and the exhuast setup w/ highflow cats / no cats, good mandrel bent catback exhaust w/ high flow mufller
maybe w/ that headers cuz by then they would be the weakest link.. i'm doubting 30 hp, but maybe for the system as a total.. i dunno i'm not going to doubt too much till i see dyno charts.. wont we need an ecu fix to see the hp anyways? doesnt the ecu turn into safemode if it sees values it didnt think it should?
dwnshift besides going all the way to a motec system (man i'd love to) what are some alternatives (read cheaper)
i'm not a huge fan of piggy back eqpt. so possibly a greddy etune?

...you can see I am new here but I have owned 2 Z's before, I just am new to computer. Anyway, I have been reading your posts and would like some expert advice. What are your thoughts on turbos and superchargers for the 350z. I understand the there are none in production, but what do you see as being the pros and cons, besides the obvious. If you have the time to reply I would appreciate it. I am trying to get as much info and advice about the 350z before I start playing. Thanks
