Thanks! I am enjoying it! As for CARB. Don't know what you confront in NY, but I was due an emission test prior to the end of March, so knowing I probably would not have finished IM prior to that date, performed test with "prototype" and PASSED with flying colors!

That's good news. NY has adopted emmissions standards similiar to CARB. They don't do the dyno/sniff test yet, but they plug into your ECU and look for any codes. If your check engine light is on or you have a code you don't pass now. They use a system which links directly to I think Albany, NY. They go by your VIN and everything is connected. So the days of your budy at a shop handing out inspection stickers are gone. Before they just checked your brakes, tires, lights, etc. Oh the cost for inspection went up about $10 too.

Very similar to what they do here in NM. If you don't have an "engine light" now, you won't get with "new" IM. They just plug into your OBD and let it provide numbers. I don't think you are going to have any problems!

Since when did NY stop the dyno/sniff test for emissions?Last year that was how all my cars were tested and they never checked for a code with no light on.And yes you can get a inspection sticker, you just have to know the right people. They just do a safety check the 1st 2yrs for a new car.

I'm outside of Rochester NYand they have never done the sniff test around here as far as I know. The new changes with checking the ECU and engine light is fairly new. I know the right people and they are no longer able to hand out the stickers. It is a pretty major change that not all New Yorkers have had to deal with yet.

Probably Tuesday or Wednesday. If anyone hasnt seen the post in the engine/drivetrain, etc forum, i definitized pricing on the IM. The cost under the GB will be $725 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states. It will be $35 more for shipping to Hawaii and international shipping will be available. Contact Kinetix for international rates.

Before anyone says this is too expensive or what have you, shiupping on one of these would likely be around $25 or $30. So in essence, you are getting the IM for under $700!

Just an FYI!!!

The new knietix plenum looks very promising. They've seem to put a lot of work into it. I am thinking though that it is best suited for applications where you really want to max-out your peak HP on the top end, and be willing to sacrifice some low-end TQ/punch.

I am running a vortech - left the rev limiter as stock, as I think raising the limit on the stock engine as tempting fate.

I would not want to lose any low-end punch, even if it meant gaining more HP up top. I am not sure that tuning could make up for this.

Now if your going turbo, building the engine, raising the limiter, then this plenum could be your wet-dream!

Thoughts?

It is hard for me to chime in because I did the testing on the "prototype" and currently running the IM. While I have not done any dyno pulls since installing the Polished IM, lsdunique did inform me that they lengthened the runners slightly to increase low end "TQ/punch". I guess I will know when I do some road tuning and some dyno pulls.

As you I am have been running a Vortech SC since June 2004. During installation the ECU was sent to TS for "Limited Flash" (100% throttle, speed limit removal and rev limiter). I have experienced NO problems. I guess if I pushed it to 7100 rpms all day, every day, then maybe I would be "tempting fate". I don't and I have left the boost at the Vortech SC factory setting. NO pulley swapping either.

Just my thoughts!

As soon as Robert (LSDUNIQUE) gets the dyno numbers he will post them or email them to me one. Dont know which yet. Hopefully they will be posted tomorrow as stated about 3.5 million times already!

Zach, have not had a chance since Friday to talke to Robert/lsdunique, but I am assuming, as I did, will put a "z" on a dyno, do NA pulls w/o the IM/V4 and then make the swap to the IM and do some pulls?

As he has probably told you, this will happen on Tuesday!
