Kinetix "INTAKE MANIFOLD" FI Testing
I am the "long standing board member" that lsdunique made reference to in his official Kinetix "NEW INTAKE MANIFOLD" announcement on April 7th that performed "independant testing". I will be monitoring posts and posting responses to their "thread" and this "thread" on this site and other sites.

I'm tired of reading that other thread, I'm glad you made one here to keep us posted about F/I numbers specifically. Everyone is asking for NA numbers like crazing in the other thread, and I'm tired of reading it

We may in the future offer additional "bung" welding for nitrous, injectors, etc.
The manifold does come with 1 extra 1/8" npt bung with plug welded in.

I love how accepting the members of this forum are when a new product comes out...especially when most of the time they are just being ignorant.

I installed V1 out of their initial production. Problems with V1 caused introduction of V2, V3 and the current V4. I have had them all, V1, V2 V3 and V4. Shortly after I installed my Vortech SC, I was asked by Kinetix if I would be interested in performing "independant testing" of their INTAKE, if and when it was ready to be tested.
In December, 2004 a member of this site, in response to a lsdunique post, what was the status of the INTAKE MANIFOLD. If you want to do a search for the post you can, but it indicated they are redirecting their effort towards the INTAKE and will test on a "Z" with a Vortech SC. So, I guess I have known since mid 2004 that if and when the INTAKE was ready for testing and I was still interested, I would perform the "independant testing".
Keep in mind, this was totally voluntary on my part. I received the INTAKE in mid February. I made arrangements with my tuner to put my "Z" on the dyno, do three pulls with Kinetix V4, remove V4 and install NEW INTAKE MANIFOLD and do three pulls. My a$$ was totally hanging out! NO promises by Kinetix should something happen. Instead of
I reported the results to Kinetix on 24 February. Put the "prototype" through it's passes for a few of weeks. Gathered my impressions and a few from other members of this site and other "Z" enthusiasts. Remove the "prototype", return it to Kinetix and await their announcement so numbers could be posted. Numbers have now been posted. My "Z" has been down for four weeks awaiting fabrication and release of final product.
Am I "pushing" their product? NO! Do I like the "results"? YES! Will I get "hostile"? NO! Will I "bash" other products? NO!

will you stop using "quotation" marks? YES
just giving you a hard time... but you really need to brush up on how/when to be using them (ie not once every sentence)
anyways, the results on this look promising, and as another member stated, I'll be using my Kinetix V4 with my single turbo later in the year, and if problems arise with the V4, this will be the next step...

Very interesting design. Based on the running lengths, it's clear that this plenum has some advantages to F/I and N/A applications. I have also see some pics of the SSR sheet metal manifold, which I feel would offer even better gains for F/I applications, due to is very short runners. Plus, it allows you to show off your aftermarket fuel injectors, fuel rails, and SS lines.
That might be the one I would get if upgraded to an F/I specific manifold.
Price-wise, this looks like a really good value, especially considering the labor involved in making this...vs. a cast design.
