Default Stock Intake Filter Service Intervals

I got my hands on the "master service manual" for the 350Z, and unless I can't read it looks like the air filter needs to be changed out roughly every 3K and/or 3 months.
If so, my dealer who changes my oil every 3 months and 3K has either not been changing it or not charging me if they do.
I think I am just gonna get an aftermarket drop in filter, one that doesnt need oiling, so as not to foul the MAF...and so I can do it myself and "know" its being done....
Whatcha think?

Every 3k doesn't sound right. If thats the case I'm like 6k overdue. :P I have heard it is every 10-15k... I'm sure you can find out in the factory recommended service brochure. Btw, I'm 33k miles with no probs and I've changed the filter 2 times so far, about to change it again (hopefully HKS filters arent crazy expensive).

Read again...its every 30,000 miles. I didn't believe it would go that long, but it did. I must say I felt a significant improvement in power once I changed the filter, so I'm going to change it every 15,000 miles now.

AH, it is 30K...sorry.
Seems kind of long?
Would love to have a drop in and clean it evey week!
I dont like to deal with using oil that can clog the MAF though.
