Default Will a new intake void my warantee?

I'm a little confused on what modification will and will not void it? I have a basic short intake on my car, and I'm wondering (hoping) that this doesn't? Do I need to put my stock airbox back on before I bring it in for service?

If they can PROVE that something you added to the car caused the problem then yes they can void the warrenty. However, it would only void any rapairs caused by what ever item it is that they somehow proved caused the damage.

For say, If you put a cat back exhuast on your car and your cats blow out then chances are they would say your exhaust caused it and wouldnt replace the cats for free. But they'd have to have reason to believe that's what caused the problem.

As far as your intake goes. Unless you blow your car up by sucking something up into your intake there's not much they can do to void the warrenty.

Bottom line If you replace a part and it breaks then you are at fault. If you replace a part and something else that has nothing to do with that newly replaced part breaks then they have to fix it under warrenty.

if you worry much then go with Nismo intake. They come with warranty from the dealer.

IBsomeonementions Magnuson-Whatever act.

You can probably safely do intake, header, exhaust, and y-pipe without an issue.
