Default Looking for a HKS Dual Ti sound clip...

I think Panda350Z installed this exhaust about week ago. I believe there was some mention of him capturing some audio, but it doesn't look as if he's had the time. I've looked through the Sticky post and haven't came up with anything. I was just wondering if anyone knew where I might could find a link...

hahaha...sorry guys, I'm really busy, and I don't have a camera. Yeh all my money goes into toys for my car, and nothing else. I would love to do it for ya, but I don't have the time. However, I found clips of this exhaust on this forum. That's why I decided to buy it. It was really nice, had an Idle vid, different throttle vids, and in cabin vids. Do a search on HKS DUAL TI HI POWER EXHAUST, and there should be a guy on here with it. It was a small link like above his signature that led you to a page with videos. Sorry I can't be of much help, but I hope that helps.

Heres the pics/vids panda is talking about. This was all done the night it was installed (except for the freeway one which was the day after). It sounds a little different now that its broken in, but not much.

The sound clips don't do justice at all guys. This exhaust needs to be heard up close.

Me and a buddy installed mine last night. The thing does sound mean. I am running Helix pipes, so in the higher RPMs, there is still a pronounced rasp which ends with some popping when the revs fall. At idle, it would almost be hard to tell it from stock except for the rumble. Reminds me of the Twin Turbo I used to have I admit that my initial impression was not that great, but after driving around for just a few minutes, the tone got better. I'm planning on putting my cats back on too. I think that will put a lid on some of the rawness the system has at WOT.

Panda, did you install your system? I can't remember from your post. We ended up having to remove one of the stock rubber hanger bushings and move it to the other side of the bracket. Did you run into this too? It was the passenger side muffler's front hanger.

Oh, by the way, I got my system from oc_drift_co on ebay. They also have a website under construction at www.upfd.com

Just keep in mind that it will be...somewhat loud. Honestly, I've never liked my Helix pipes. They're just too raspy. And I believe that this is true of most, if not all test pipes. The build quality, the fitment, and the seat of the pants difference of the Helix pipes are all great, but the noise is obnoxious. The whole reason behind my purchasing a cat-back system was to hopefull cure the rasp that the Helix pipes caused. Now, hearing the tone of my HKS system, I'm thinking that the TPs are actually detracting from what otherwise would be and amazing cat-back. Having a car that sounds really good is more important to me right now that the 5hp I'll lose from replacing my Helix pipes with stock pieces.
