Default should i get an exhaust?

I was looking into purchasing a aftermarket exhaust and y-pipe for my Z. The only aftermarked mod I have is a CAI. I was thinking about getting the Fujitsubo legalis exhaust with the Grouppe-s y-pipe. I dont "need" either of them, but I would like to squeeze a few extra horses from my car, and possibly make it sound more agressive without the nasty rasp sound. Is there a noticable difference in power and a meaner sound with these mods? Or should I svae my money.

are you serious? do a search and figure it out man. No need to post useless questions that can be avoided by just searching a little.

we dont need mods. heck we dont need 350Z's. But we have one are are buying one because we are at a stage where we have satisfied our needs and are able to fulfill wants and desires.

having said that, my buddy has a 350Z track with fujitsubo exhaust and y-pipe, and it might be just in my head, but there's more of an OOOOMPH when hitting the gas. Normally driving, the noise is minimal, similar to stock form. But at WOT, that thing just roars...very very nice setup. Good luck.

I say exhaust on a Z is a MUST! It's a crime to hide that sweet exhaust note under that stock muffle box. I also noticed a performance gain...not so much a gain in speed or anything but definitely helped get rid of that flat spot in the power band around 4500 rpm's.

Some people here are so helpfull . If you want some extra bang for the buck, you could just replace the Cats. Cats will increase the sound and add some extra power. The fujisubo is a good setup for a couple extra horsepower and gives a little deeper tone.

I'd say go for it. Our stock exhaust weights like a ton comparing to the aftermarket ones. Be sure to invest a little bit of money for the Y-Pipe and test pipe as well to really help you Z breath.

I can say that with the Gruppe-S and Fuji you will get a deep sound with no rasp. Right now, I get a tin-like rattle because of my headers and cats but the exhaust sounds great overall, barely louder than stock.

If you're staying NA, make sure you get an ECU reflash from Technosquare before you take your modded car to the dyno. You will get small gains, but you won't see the true potential of your addons until you adjust the ECU to take advantage of the improved flow.

I have headers, test pipes and a custom y-pipe and i must say my car is loud and nasty, but in a good way , i have noticed a pretty significant gain with these mods and have a new rear section just so i can finish the exhaust and im not expecting any thing from that besides looks and sound.
