Default Best Intake/Cat-back combo out there

Since these are usually 2 of the first mods done, whether your future plans are for light or heavy mods, wanted to get everyone's take on what the best combo is in regards to:

1) sound (a tiny bit louder than stock would be optimal)
2) performance (what kind of realistic gains are we talking about?)
3) price (bang for the buck)

Engine-wise, for the record, I plan on just performing these 2 mods once I get my Z this summer.

Thx!

Either Borla or Nismo for the exhaust. Little louder but not "fart-can'ish"
JWT, Injen, Nismo or K&N Typhoon for the intake.

Run a search. This is a topic that has been gone over and over many times!!!

If price is considered then the Borla exhaust with the JWT Pop charger is the way to go. Got my Borla exhaust for like $650 and my JWT for $120.

JWT + Borla is a great combo. The borla sounds good, but it does take away some of the Z's unique sound.

JWT + Nismo is not bad, a little loud but still has some of the exotic pitches.

JWT + Fujitsubo Ti = my favorite. Possibly the worst bang for your buck. Very very light.

No doubt about it, JWT is the intake to use. The exhaust is personal preference, IMO. 1 or 2 hp differences between all of them. I would pick on sound and or weight.

Thats what I want.

But I just read an article about a Titanium shortage and manufacturers are having a hard time buying it up.

how about the stillen cold air intake?? I really like the box that isolates the engine bay from the the filter, and it supposedly has the 'venturi ring' that helps with cold air intake. The nismo CAI doesn't look like anything special and it's really really pricey for an intake.

As for exhaust, i'm leaning towards the invidia g200, nismo, or evo II

any opinions??
