They have the hanger, come with gaskets, no bolts. Very heavy. 02 bungs have caps. Welds look good to my novice eye. Have the word XERD etched or put on there in some way. Look quality to me. Price was sure right. Have a couple of questions:
Should I do the 02 sensor fix first, or wait to see if I get a warning light?
I am not installing yet, because I forgot to order a SS bung for my new AEM wideband, only have the POS bung that came with it. BTW, I got the AEM wideband for $377 from summit racing in Ohio, 2nd day delivery. That is at least $70 cheaper than the lowest 350Z dealers prices. Man, I just think these parts sellers think we have SUCKER stamped on our foreheads.

I paid exactly $89. That was the total money transfer to paypal. Of course, I am not in Cali so no tax, and I did not pay a 3% paypal charge. Sorry you did, don't know why tho.

I also heard through the grapevine that those directs are B-Stock, meaning repaired pipes. Good luck!

What grapevine? The 350forums.org grapevine? Selling the same pipes for $109? Welds look fresh on mine, do not look redone. No scratches or other indicators of damage or previous install. And they go under the car. What happened, narkotic, did you pay too much and now have a case of sour grapes?

The vendors specializing in 350Z parts often overcharge, maybe because it is a small market. But some products like the AEM A/F UEGO controller are way overpriced. Summit and Jegs have them for $377. What do some of the sponsors of this forum want? $450 plus shipping? Special sale $429? Come on - is everyone selling seconds but the approved sponsor vendors?

Its like the APS kit - it is the best because the rep has been on here from day one answering questions. Smooth operator, yes. Great marketing, yes. Proven, out on the street, long term, product, No.

So tell us, what grapevine?

who the hell would bother to repair a ~$100 set of test pipes???

bump, would like to know how these work out for you. I was considering them, however i'm concerned about 2 things: 1. aparently some test pipes don't have securing brackets that the stock cats to, causing the exhaust system to sway more and potenially make contact with the chassis. 2. the smell from an uncatted exhaust. i ran uncatted in my wrx and didn't notice any smell different, however allot of Z owners complain about this with the test pipes.

Thanks!

i don't know what method you plan to fix the SES light, but I would install everything right away. What yr car are you running?

i would go with the help! method for the SES light

I have a 2003 performance, I was thinking about using the help! method, I have to get a SS bung so I can plug in my AEM AF controller. These pipes have the brackets, I do have to get bolts, I am also concerned about smell.

Ha ha ha. Don't really care, to tell the truth. I just wanted to try them out, plan on going to hi flow cats. Thought I would share a deal with the other people on the forums who have helped me in the past. Felt that the better bargin was from the manufacturer. Think for yourself, man. 350zforums puts them on sale at the same time as Xerd, who makes them. Hmmm. So Xerd sent the "good" pipes to 350Zforums, and kept the "B" parts to sell direct and hurt their reputation. Sounds right, sure. If they were "B" pipes you can be sure that 350Zforums are selling "B" pipes as well. Grapevine and a firm who sold you the same part for more are two different things. Let 350Zforums.org post that they are seconds, and I will email Xerd to get their responce. That is the way to find out.
