Prior Setup: Kinetix Test Pipes, Gruppe S Y Pipe, & RSr Exhaust
New Setup: Kinetix Test Pipes & Espelir GT 500 True Dual Exhaust
Impression: Being 28 and a professional salesperson, I'm not into the loud exhausts. Loud or aggressive exhausts tend to create "droning" in the cabin and can be annoying while watching DVDs
. Combine that with the fact that my girlfriend absolutely complains about its aggressive tone (heard in the cabin) and I had two options: a) Keep the silencers in b) Not sacrifice performance for sound and buy the Espelir. Glad I chose B.
The Espelir setup eliminates many of the hard bends, is made of stainless steel (not mild steel like my RSr), and is lighter than the previous setup. It's exhaust note allows the BOV to be the center of attention.
My friend and I purchased the exhausts and installed them on both Zs. His is NA and I'm FI. His still maintained a nice tone, but not nearly as overbearing as his prior Invidia Exhaust. The Invidia & RSr sound virtually identical . . . All in all, I have no intentions of ever using the supplied silencers or trading out to a different setup.
Here's the Espelir on the left and prior setup on the right
Enjoy!

MSRP is $1400, but he's selling them for ALOT less since they got in on a special during one of the shows. Only 3 left (out of five). Here's his contact info (authorized dealer of many brands):
Shawn
I use them for all my aftermarket parts & labor since I was burned by a few unauthorized dealers . . .

That's cool . . . I know we had to go to Injected Performance the other day with a set of Volks for a customer's Supra, who also owned a 350Z, to check the clearances on Greg's MONSTER Supra. Shawn may talk your head off, but he means well
Lucky for him, I'm a sales rep (coatings industry) and had enough room in my pimped out 2003 Mercury Sable (work car)

The RS-R is known to be one of the loudest setups for the 350Z. I'm guessing the Espelir is very loud as well since you say they are comparable. Perhaps the turbo quiets it down?

Nnnnnt. Wrong. I said the Invidia & RSr sound virtually identical, not the Espelir. I would almost venture to say the Espelir is identical to stock or below in terms of sound. Hope that clears it up.

Good luck finding one . . . I sold the Z (pictured above) to a guy on these boards. I never dynoed, but man, I loved that exhaust . . . the only thing I liked about the 1st setup (rsr, etc) was the flame shooting
