Default 05 Track with Crawford Plenum Dyno!

Just got back from the dyno today, I added a Crawford cast plenum. I peaked about a good 7rwhp more. My torque stayed the same, BUT in the higher rpms it levels out and became more linear then stock. I also added in the change at 7k rpm with the plenum vs stock.

54 views and no replies? Sheeet. Congrats on the gain from just the plenum. I guess that puts to rest some of the debate of whether or not the '05 lower plenum and an aftermarket upper plenum would be a good combination.

What's next on your mod list?

I am going to order the Nismo exhaust in the next day or so. Then it is back to the dyno to see what happends.

Yes, right around 6grand I can feel it start to pull alittle harder and rev faster. I guess the VTC on both intake and exhaust is really helping on these motors.

Nice gains, if i remember from a while back adding a pop-charger really helps with gains from the plenums, maybe you should get that next!

I thought about it, but our stock airbox is actually pretty good. I might just stay with it for the time being and go with an exhaust for now.

this is what I thought as well, then I swapped in a K&N filter, felt a little better, swapped in a short-ram (pop-charger w/ heatshield).. butt dyno said that I had gained a bit up top (4k+)... just fwiw i look at the pop-charger as a good, cheap investment

Nice gains, I expected it to be a little more than that though. Would be nice to see a 287HP model dyno with a Nissan OEM 300HP lower intake plenum and Crawford upper intake plenum and see how the power curve changes.

I have heard that the 300hp lower plenum on the 287hp motors actually looses power. I am very happy with 10 more hp.

Man that is awesome. I wish I would have bought an '05 track instead. I would bet money with full bolt ons and cams you will be right around 300 rwhp. You already have as much rwhp as I do with just the plenum and it took me almost all the bolt ons to reach that same rwhp level.

How many miles do you have now?

Ive got 3200 miles right now. Im trying to decide reather to go FI or put in 11.5:1 pistons and go all out NA. I am very interested to see how much power this engine will produce NA.

Sort-of off topic, when will you be taking it to the 1/4 mile track? or will you?

Thanks for keeping us informed and sharing the dyno data with us. I am really rooting for you to be the first NA on this board to hit 300 rwhp.

Crawford already broke 300rwhp. But I bet 300HP motors will hit it slightly easier.

262 rwhp is insane. Thats more than some of the full bolt on Z's have. Did crawford really break 300 already? I thought they were close.
