Default My Alphawerks Experience

Today I went over to the Alphawerks distribution center in Doral, FL hoping to get in on one of the sponsorships for their headers. First of all, they are a great buncha guys! Real car enthusiasts with a passion for everything automobiles. I spent almost an hour there chatting it up with one of the representatives. The sponsored cars are crazy! Definetly some stiff competition. Unfortunately, I didn't get the sponsorship I was looking for. I guess I just dont have enough crazy bling mods to set me apart... Who needs 5 amps anyways? :/ But, I still want to consider alphawerks headers. I saw the headers in person, let me just say, WOW! They look fantastic, excellent welds and beautifully polished. Anthony showed me the original JDM header and the new Alphawerks USDM redesign. One of the tubes was extended and the bend placed higher to clear the steering knuckle. Strup headers are also lodged in my train of thought, we will see what I choose.

Hey,

Honestly this is why we all do this, and maybe in the future we can still help you with the car. But I was very glad to have met you yesterday even though I was going nuts on the phone (let everyone know how busy I am when they bust my chops). Best of luck in the future and if there is anything we can do do not hesitate to give us a call...

Take care,

Anthony

I don't think they're necessarily looking for sick amounts of bling mods when making sponsorship decisions.....they're interested in getting their product name out there to enthusiasts so the amount of visibility your car gets and the amount of car events you attend I think makes the biggest difference. Location is also a consideration. I got a sponsorship from them and have only a moderate amount of mods.....but my car is an eye-catching color, I go to car meets and club track events all the time, keep my car garaged and impeccably clean all the time, and live in an area with lots of G's and Z's owned by people with lots of income to spend on them. I think there's many more factors than how much your car is modded.....cuz bottom line is they sponsor cars so they can sell more headers....and sponsorship is quite a marketing expense for a company.

Glad to hear good things about Nexus and the Aphawerks headers though....can't wait to get mine and show them off cuz the pics of them look HOT!!!!
