I love my JIC Y-pipe. It is a beautiful piece, 2 1/2" off my test pipes to a 3" collector. It has flex joints on both sides to make fitment great. Its pretty much stright back like the Top Secret and UR y-pipe to for the best flow. I got mine from Avalon Racing for a great price. I have the JIC y-pipe and the JIC Spartan DE Type 1 exhaust and whenever my cars up on a lift I dont wanna put it down cause it looks so damn good.

The Japtrix pipe is pretty much an IDENTICAL copy of the top secret Y pipe at a little less than 1/3 of the cost. Mine should be here on Monday. I will be installing it along with the Helix test pipes.

Are Y-pipes really worth buying? From what I have read, the verdict is little to no power gain.... I mean 1-2hp difference will not be measurable on a dyno..anyone? Anyone?

$275 from Gruppe-S is the cheapest I've seen. Power gains are usually around the 5 HP range.

Honestly I think they give all about the same performance. The Japtrix and the UR Y-pipe look like they have the best flow/design from all the ones I've seen.

What about OBX Y-pipes? I can get them on e-bay cheap, but just wondering about quality and performance. If anyone has experience with the OBX, please chime in..thanks!

That one is nice but check ours out!

All stainless, slip-fit spring-loaded, ultra-flow (great merging) with an n/a outlet of 2.5'' or an F/I outlet of up to 3.5''

Many say the Y-pipe will net you more gains than a mid-pipe and muffler replacement so I think it's a great idea for NA gains. With that said you get what you pay for, but $850 is rediculous. Shop around with vendors and see if they can get you a good price on Fujitsubo, Tanabe, UR, or JIC Y-pipe. I can tell you from exp that Tanabe and Fujitsubo do some really clean, neat and strong piping and I have yet to have any issue with any of their products.

no flex in that Y pipe though...could post issues down the road in terms of cracking (typically wont reveal itself till theres some age on the piece)

I used one for 2 years without issues including track events before going to a 3" custom y-pipe a couple of months ago due to TT install.
