Default Kinetix V4 Plenum

I just installed my V4 Kinetix Plenum. Im happy with it. The car accelerates smoother and a bit quick. I do have a question to all Kinetix Plenum owners. I was advised to expect it to be throatier of a sound and it did but its really throaty, nice but throaty almost "gargoly". Is that normal. When coming out on first it feels like a bit of a gorgle for 2 seconds then just the throaty sound. Im enjoying it but want to make sure that it is normal. It was professionaly installed but I still wanted to check. Also when I start the car I can feel it coming on stronger. Normal? I do have high flow cats, Nismo exhaust and many other mods. let me know I would appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it normal for the strut bar to be resting on the plenum though?

yep, get 3 washers and put them under the strut bar at each bolt. I had the a problem with the whole car vibrating at high rpm in a turn until i did that.

just adjust the strut bar so it bows up and it will clear not to much so it doesn't rub the hood.

Yes, you need to adjust the strut bar but make sure that it does not end up rubbing the hood. Put a clay ball on the highest parts of the strut & close the hood to check the clearance is enough.

This is embarassing but I can not remoce the 4 screws on each side of the strut bar to place the washers since they where out using an air wrench, they are so tied. Even one of my firends who is huge tried and no luck. I dont want to pay $75 for an hour labor if I take it to a shop. Man the vibration is bugging me.

I do have one more question though. I do not know if I have to lower or higher the RPM idle but the car is so easily to stall now after I got this installed. It needs a lot more gas to come out for it not to stall. This is not my 1st. manual so I know how manual cars feel like. Would raising or lowering the RPM setting at idle help? PLZ PLZ Let me know.

if your having trouble with the idle you probably have an air leak, mine still has a small leak and i've had it for 4 months. As far as the strut bolts go, it takes a lot of force but i got them off. I used a 1/2 inch ratchet and had to put some body weight into it.

Well its not the idle of just seating there that the car want to stall, its just that it takes a lot more gas to come out on first. If I use the same amount of gas as I use to the car would stall. Is that still a leak? When the car is just seating there its fine its just the coming out that I need more gas. I feel as when I had my Tilton flywheel/clutch.

By the way, I started a new thread on this to not confuse with the vibrations issues.
