Aluminum Kinetix intake plenum...
This was the plenum that got everyone excited about Kinetix in the begining, now that the plastic one is out, I have heard nothing else about this plenum. I have heard that Kinetix reinforced the plastic plenum to help with FI, but this aluminum plenum with the runners was supposed to be exclusively for FI. With reinforcement for the plastic plenum, are they saying that the aluminum one will not exist anymore??
Has anyone heard from Isdunique or kinetix about this plenum?? Here is the picture of it in this trend, if you don't remember it:

Just wondering about it, cause it did look great.

well, since Kinetix is so good about their customer service, I'm sure you could always "upgrade" later on when this one comes out (if it ever does... I'm sure there's a reason we haven't heard about it in so long)

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand the reason that the Kinetix plenum provides a performance gain is because it is shaped differently. The inside is more open towards the front or something like that and it enables greater airflow towards the front pistons. The problem they are having is with cracking, but couldn't they just make the plenum out of aluminum like this thread talks about? They could use the exact same design and the exact same shape, just make it out of metal. That way it will provide improved airflow but stop cracking! Am I wrong or is this theoretically possible?

My guess is that kinetix was trying to compete with crawford and they really couldn't do that with the aluminum plenum. Crawford plenums are so cheap because they are using your plenum and just welding some **** on it.($400 is still a rip off for a piece of aluminum and some welds). If kinetix came out with this aluminum plenum I am guessing it would cost about $1000. And which one would you choose if they both do the same thing and have a difference of $600. In order for kinetix to create an entirely new plenum and still be competitive, they had to make it in plastic. Although I could be wrong, that plenum looks like it would be expensive as hell for 10hp.

Wish lsd would chime in on this plenum, as there is a significant amount of interest in it. The end of June is only a month away, thanks for the info.
