So those guys who run their car at NOPI and car shows for the sake of their stereo can experience this if they have a plastic manifold? I'm getting this version instead:

You said you explained why the car was left to idle 2 hours, but I must have missed it. Because you were washing it? I still don't get it. I have this plenum installed on my ZR and have been very pleased w/ its performance, and I don't mean to flog a dead horse, but what the hell did you think was gonna happen???

Nothing wrong with the v4 manifold imo. It does it's job and provides NA gains for far less than the competition, and also doesn't look like a frying pan. They should put a "don't let car idle for 2 hours" warning on it next to the "do not eat locktite" warning, for your sake. Sorry to hear about your experience, but what the hell do you expect?
At least Kinetix will give you a brand new one if you contact them and inform them of what happened...

If you must know in detail, I was listening to my radio while the car was on, is everyone happy now? Good, glad I cleared that up, let's move on.
I had no issues with the performance while it was functioning like it should, in fact, I was pleased with this product until it MELTED. Like I stated in my previous posts, yes that's right, READ MY PREVIOUS POSTS, this should never happen regardless of what state the car was in (2 hour idling). Queston, how come none of the other plastic pieces melted or got warped after 2 hours of idling? Can anyone explain? I am not trying to be a smart ***, I just don't appreciate the sarcastic remarks from a select few of you.

I just read your response to lowrider--you're indignant that someone someone politely tells you what a moron you are for leaving your car idle for 2 hours? Thanks for the "heads up", but I think most people on these boards really didn't need the advice.

I'm with you vantage, I'd be upset too if my plenum melted.
If I was stuck in the desert with a blowout in 110+ F degree weather, I am staying in the car with the AC on rather than suffer heat stroke and die.
It is inexcusable for a part to melt like this.

That sucks! However I do not percieve that there will be a problem, Kinetix offers a lifetime warranty on all of their products. I would be suprised if they did not sent you a new plenum.

Next time you decide to take 2 hours to wash your car while listening to the radio, turn the key to Accessory position, i.e. it uses the battery and not precious gas, and makes more sense than having ANY car idle for 2 hours.

I hope you were in a well ventilated area next time you will blame Nissan for not making the exhaust clean enough to be able to smell it for 2 hours without getting carbon monoxide poisoning.

anyone who lets their z idle for two hours for a carwash or worse, to listen to the radio, is a complete ***** and should not even be allowed to own a z. jmo.
sorry, but its obvious you know absolutely nothing about cars. try a bicycle for your and others safety.

I feel bad it melted but I can't stop laughing at the fact that you left the car running for two hours and still do not understand why, you were washing the car?!
