Default Injen Intake Heat shield question

I had been noticing a very short vibrating sound that happens sometimes during accelerating. I finally had some time to look at it just now and it looks like its the injen heat shield that is the cause. Would it matter much if i took it off because i dont know how else to fix it?? Let me know what you think, thanks

Tighten that sucker down. If you get aftermarket headers the heat shield will be removed.

It is already tightened down all the way. its the side that is supposed to just hang out that is touching. It doesn't seem to serve much purpose.

Then I would say get rid of it and get some heat shield wrap to cover the metal part of the Injen tubing. Not a must have but will keep it that much cooler.

I just went through the same thing. I took the heat shield off and still had the noise. Turned out the noise was coming from the cats which needed to be re-tourqed.
