Default Injen SES, reason for low torque?

I dynoed and got only 236 torque at the wheels (256rwhp though).
I have basic bolt ons.

Why is my torque so low? Is it due to the injen? I did notice a little bit of a low end loss when I installed it

Also, what is this fiberglass issue I heard about and how do I check it? I got my injen in January of 05. I hope the issue was addressed before then

Thanks

injen seems to loose a little torque... but it more than makes up with top end punch. make sure to let ECU adapt to exhaust though. ~ 1 week. Did you dyno imediately after install?

Personally I can't care less about low end torque, I don't pull trailers. HP is what is ultimately important,

a couple of have had fiberglass issues. I have 10K on mine and never seen fiberglass.

sorry to ressurect an old thread but I Nano do you have any rasp or other issues with the exhaust and did u mod the exhaust or is it as it was when u got it. Any fitment issues or anything. I am thinking about getting one and trying to collect as much info as possible about it before I make the purchase. Thanks in advance!!

I completely disagree with Nano's evaluation. If you never use your car below 3k rpm, I guess the loss of torque is no big deal. I had fiberglass, my friend had fiberglass maybe we are a pair of unlucky folks with straight tip systems. The system is also quite boomy inside below 3k so you loose power and make more noise.

There are other threads here and elsewhere that talk about torque, internal restriction, fiberglass etc and how Injen handles customers concerns. Do your homework before you buy.
