Crawford looks pretty stock. Heres a pic of mine before I installed with Crawford headers:

Not Cat other than stock is legal in any state. Again - NONE!

However, as has been stated, the Crawford looks like a stock cat, not a Nissan stock cat, but a stock cat nonetheless. It will pass sniffer, and a visual inspection should not catch it.

Here's mine installed.

WHen you get smogged, do the inspectors lift the car to visually check cats routinely? When do you need to start getting smog checked in CA? I never really paid attention, I did it a few times in my Explorer, but that is 7+ years old! ot

Do the hi-flow Cats cause a significant loss of low-end torque?

Cool

Somewhat confused on this topic, need more advice.

Spoke with 2 different exhaust specialists in the Houston area about high-flow cats. They both sell the flow master brand and stated that any high-flow cat that would pass emission standards will give you no more flow than OEM cats. One showed me an OEM cat he replaced with a new flow master high-flow cat and they appeared to have the same internal parts except the box carton said high-flow on it.

He went on about how he feels somewhat guilty selling them because he sees no real HP gain from them in his 14 years of experience with custom exhaust systems, however, lots of folks what them anyway he added.

I am assuming the Crawford cats will not pass emission standards, and what does this do to the oxygen sensors or causing the engine check light to come on among other issues?
