Default Stealthy High FLow Cats?

What High Flow Cats would be the most undetectable at a smog check?
I know that here in CA we cant have anything but stock but im looking for something that if someone wasn't really paying attention it would slip by.

I want to get the Helix as I have heard they are one of the best, but they would stand out like a sore thumb.

I thought I read that you can have your cats replaced if your old ones were damaged. If they give you crap, just say a rock tore up your undercarriage and you took your car to some random garage to get your cats replaced. When it passes smog, just smile and pay the bill.

BTW...I have the Helix HF Cats & they are definitely NOT stealth. If you're looking for stealth, I'd also recommend the Crawford HF Cats.

Here's a pic of the Helix:

each stock cat has two convertors, so gutting the pre-cat on each would leave you with a hf setup, cat-wise.
crawfords are the only ones with heat shields, so they look the most like stock.

Yeah, as far as I know, there are NO aftermarket cats out there that are CARB certified. Some may pass the sniffer test & some may even pass the visual but it doesn't mean it's legal. But as they say, "it's legal until you get caught". Most people just put on aftermarket cats & once they test, they simply swap them out with their OEMs. Once the testing is done, swap them back. No biggie. It's not like we test every year. If you're worried about cops looking down there, you can simply powdercoat them to make them more stealth from the usual (polished look) or buy "stock looking" cats like the Crawford.

You can always spend $1,200 and get the NISMO high flow cats - they look just like the OEM ones, just higher flow and lighter wallet.

do you have pics of the nismos? i thought these looked very different from the stock.....way overpriced too

there are carb certified cats, such as the RT's....but they are certainly not legal.

the only legal cats are oem period....at least in cali
