Default JIC Spartan De Type 2 Ti -- WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS EXHAUST???

I have done search after search for this exhaust and no one seems to have it or know anything about it. I would love to get some answers here! The exhaust is the dual exit full titanium for well under $1500. If anyone has it please give me me some info on it. Loud (hopefully not)? Good quality? Cat back (if so Ti Y pipe)? Burnt tips? The price is so solid for a Ti, yet I can't find anyone who has it. HELP PLEASE!!!

Reason why nobody has is is because I talked to JIC today and they said this exhaust is special order from Japan only with no ETA. It uses a dual tip and is only a y-pipe back so I would say you would want to get the JIC y-pipe also. They only have the y-pipe in SUS stainless at this time. Let me know if you need any JIC pricing since and PM me.

Why aren't there any sound clips anywhere on the Internet for this exhaust? I was going to buy the SUS version but I've gotta hear it first.

I dig the subtlety of the tips; looks sort of stock but at the same time looks German OEM.

I have the JIC DE Type 2 Exhaust w/ Y Pipe and am trying to get it up on a lift for pics. I'll do it asap. My car is at Stillen right now getting Ultra SS Polished Pulley Set put on. As far as I'm concerned, the JIC DE Type 2 is fine since it came on the car w/ 7k miles. No dyno yet.

Kinda bringing this back from the grave! Any updates on this exhaust from anybody? This looks like a really bad *** exhaust with a nice stock look. Pics, info and or specs would be great by now. Also is it still a special order from japan, cuz intense motorsports has it on their website and doesn't post anything about it being a special order. Thanks!

I had the DE- Type 1 single 80mm on my Z and it was LOUD! Unless your FI, there is no need to have such an open exhaust. I noticed my car felt better immediatly after the Borla TD install.

Default I think I want this exhaust (type 2)...

For whatever reason, the type 2 is a rather elusive exhaust in the states.

It's been out since early 2003 but there are still no known sound clips of this exhuast on the Internet and there are no known photos of the titanium version anywhere (and I have a current JIC/Bullet catalog).

From what I know, it utilizes 3" piping for most of the kit with clean looking bends and professional welds.

I love the way it looks (reminds me of some German OEM exhausts) but I really need to hear what it sounds like before I commit.

the DE Type 2 Ti looks identical to the pic I posted, but its finished in titanium and has burnt tips with a matte finish to the exhaust, like the Fujitsubo

here is a crappy pic of the muffler

Also for those interested, JIC Ti exhaust are taking a huge price jump very very soon (around 40% retail), so anyone who needs anything, let us know ASAP!

Damn, I would have recorded a sound clip for you of the JIC Spartan De Type 2 exhaust, but I just took it off yesterday! I don't have the Ti version, but the exhaust does utilize 3" tubing w/ nice bends as mentioned above. One thing I can tell you is that the exhaust is freakin loud. Atlease on my car. I bought the car w/ it on so I can't tell you how long it was used or anything else. I replaced it with a Borla TD and also put some test pipes on. The car is quieter now. Seriously.

Wow! So that's how the titanium (type 2) looks...

I was actually hoping that it looked like the stainless version w/the clean looking German style oval exhaust tips but the titanium is surely much lighter so it's gonna be a tough call for me.

I don't mind the exhaust being too loud since I only occasionally take it out on the weekends but it would be cool if the tone was similar to that of the Nismo kit.

its not an overly loud setup at all if you get the resonated version - very similar in its tone to the stainless according to JIC.
