Lastly, Injen Technology has developed the RD1985 [350Z cold air intake] so it can be used as a short ram intake as well. By removing the custom silicone hose, the 3.50" Injen filter will bolt up to the MAF adapter.

If you have any questions,

My question is this, why would you switch from CAI to SRI?
Because it is raining? I honestly don't know why!

yes I belive that is the reason, or part of it atleast, perhaps you can get more low end gains with the shorter tube for daily driving, and use the cold air for racing when your high in the revs and the engine bay is especially hot.

The intake system for the 350Z, part # RD1985, is available now and should be at authorized Injen retailers. Please check our website for our dealer listing, www.injen.com/dealers.html.
Quick question, 6 months? The car has only been out for 3 months...

Default Three Simple Questions

1. How much does it cost?
2. How easy is it to install?
3. What does it do for me?

to answer that question the law states, the modification must be proven to be the cause of the problem. and it is the shops burden to proove it.

for an intake, if you managed to get hydrolock, your not gonna be covered under warrenty. thats all thats coming to mind as problems this would void the warrenty over.

otherwise, there should be no warrenty problems with this, as is the case with most boltons. of course, some dealers will just give your greif which may make it seem like it isnt worth it, but they seem to be getting better about this since the car is sold almost with the understanding a majority of them will be modified for more speed.

At Injen Technology, we are trying to offer the best performing intake system available on the market. We would also like consumers to know that they can associate value to our intake systems as well. We are not just selling performance. Even though performance is our number one objective, there are other aspects that we provide to the consumer. We offer top notch quality with in-house manufacturing. We offer the best customer service we can. We also offer a lifetime warranty with our intake systems. Our R&D Dept. tries over 10-20 designs and extensive testing before a final appoval is made and the intake system is currently CARB pending. Lastly, we are the only manufacturer to offer a Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold Cover and the flexibility of Cold Air intake or Short Ram intake system.

I've heard of complaints of the removal of the front bumper and I believe that it is not that difficult to remove. It might be a little tedious with all the little bolts and rivit caps, but the average install time is 1-1 1/2 hours. So please do not judge an intake system by its instructions.

If anyone has any questions, complaints, and critiscism, please feel free to contact info@injen.com.

PS: We will soon be offering the 350Z intake system with black silicone hoses for the Blue RD1985 only. This also includes the custom molded elbow which makes the lower portion of the intake system. For those that already have the intake system, replacement hoses can be special ordered from your Authorized Injen Retailer.

Is there a way to route the filter to the compartment behind left corner lights? While I was installing the clear corners, I noticed a HUGE unused space there. I think it would be best to install filter there so water won't be splash onto it?

Default Oiled

One question does come to mind. Does the filter require to be oiled just like a K&N filter? It did not come oiled.

part of how you avoid getting water sucked into it is oil.

phillip, is there a way to cut the tubing to get a bypass valve to fit? the placement on this car is horrible compared to my others that you guys make intakes for. i would be very worried with it that open but i wasn't too worried with my other cars and i know the bypass valve will help some what?
