Default Best Test Pipes for $

I'm looking to buy a set of test pipes for my car. Does anyone know how much the LaBree pipes are? I think that I am leaning toward resonated pipes. I really don't want raspiness. So far my only performance mod is a jwt pop charger. Any input on the best pipes for the buck is appreciated.

I have the kinetix resonated ones, and have virtually no rasp!

How much do they run?

Does anyone know of any place on the internet that sells the LaBree test pipes? I've heard good things about them as well.

Thanks!

APS has the new 3" test pipes on their website. Might want to check that out. I personally have the Helix test pipes.

The helix aren't resonated are they? How is the sound? I guess I could live with a little rasp, I just don't want to make the car sound ricey since it already sounds pretty good stock. Just looking to free up some hp and maybe increase exhaust sound without really altering the tone of it. If that makes any sense.

We (Altered Atmosphere) make a set as well. 16 gauge stainless steel (thicker than most competitors) and when I've heard customer cars here with them installed, it wasn't terribly raspy. I liked the tone.

Ok I have a really dumb question but what the hell are test pipes anyway?

I hear people looking to buy and sell them and there doesn't seem to be a specific brand singled out.

Are they just exhaust pipes/systems that somebody bought to test out, then decided they didn't want them, so they are selling them?

Test pipe are:
Cat deletes, straight pipes, sometimes called down pipes or race pipes.

Basically replace the oem cat converters with straight through pipes.

labrees cost somewhere around $400.
i am very happy with my labrees, not too sure on how close they compare to kinetix tho. although they are 100x better than those cheapy ebay ones.... and they better be esp. since they cost 4x more.
i guess it came down to brand preference for me.

Oh ok thanks. So I would imagine for the most part they would be loud?

not exactly loud, but could be raspy depending on the rest of your exhaust set up.

Which ones have mounting brackets? I have heard that the ones without the brackets rattles due to vibration?
