Default New exhaust came today

Woohoo! My Nismo exhaust came to the dealer today, and may I just say...that is one damn big box. The dealer wanted $300 to install it, so I took it home and thought about doing it myself. Realizing that I would have to buy ramps and/or a jack and/or jack stands, and realizing that I don't really want to this work afterall, I called around to some shops and found one to do it for $100, so I'll be dropping off the bits and pieces tomorrow. Good thing I have a truck, too, because there is no way that box would fit in the Z.

it should fit if you take it outa the box.
install is easy.
if you're gonna mod your z, i'd recommend buying floor jack and stands.

install is easy since your car is new and the parts aren't corroded together. and it's not the 100 bucks you save, it's more the satisfaction you get, as well as knowing you paid attention to the details of the job. ramps are 30 bucks. i got a cheap jack and jack stands at sears for 30 bucks combined.

z boy - i thought a woman's place is on her knees. lol

I did mine by myself. just drove the front tires up on some 2x4 for a little wiggle room up front and jacked up the rear of the car @ the differential and used jackstands. Took me about an hour to take out swap 'em out and put the tools away. i've only had mine since the begining of april. it took a little muscle to unto the exhaust bolts. but not much.

I did my motorcycle exhaust myself (full system) and that was a pain in the A$$...there is just something inherently wrong when you have to use a mallet to install something on a vehicle. Anyway, for the price of a jack and stands, it just isn't worth the hassle for me to do it myself.

Well, I'm off to pick 'er up. Can't wait to hear it!
