Angry PTP Motorsports in Austin. Any info?

Just wondering if anyone has done buiseness with PTP Motorsports. I ordered a used Veilside exhaust from Jon there and even though he said he had all the parts ready to go, he has yet to send it to me, And it has been a week. So I was curious what I may be in for.

I tried setting up a group buy with PTP Motorsports about a year ago. The GB failed miserably due to lies and unkept promises. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at every turn, but in the end, no one (including myself) had any faith that they would deliver the products as promised.

I would never do business again with this company. It was clear they didnt know what the f*ck they were doing. Sorry to say Clown, your exhaust may still be in Japan for all they know.

Heres a link to the failed GB

After reading the group buy link, all I can say is wow. The person I am dealing with is jon. He is hard to get ahold of and it takes a while to get email responses. Then he gets upset if I send more than one email if he does not answer the first email. So far I bought a used Veilside exhaust from them. I paid a week ago and he was going to try and get it out on tuesday. After a couple days and no email from him saying it was sent, I was getting worried, so I emaild him. No respose, so I emailed twice more and finally got a response. He said that he has been trying to get it out, but can not find a big enough box to ship it in yet, and I need to be patient. I am getting worried.

Threaten to do a chargeback if it's not shipped out by Wedensday next week. Merchants HATE chargebacks...big pain in the azz for them to refute and they pay something like $30 even if they win a dispute. You'll need to document in writing every conversation you've had with them, the dates the occurred, what they promised vs what actually happened, etc.

Thats total bull$hit. What kind of shop that regularly sells exhausts "cant find a box big enough" rofl. Nothing but lies from PTP. I would immediately ask for your $$ back and find this exhaust somewhere else. Thats the best advice I can give you.

Don't let me get started on that mickey mouse company. These douches can't even return calls or respond to Emails. I would steer clear of them at all costs....

I had PTP install my turbo and tune it on the dyno. They took a little longer than expected but the installer did a great job. Jon took digital pictures of everystep of the install and the dyno runs. Overall I am pleased. I have not ordered any parts from them, I brought everything with me for the install. As far as the replies to the emails, he e-mailed me on average a day after the email was sent. Wow- best of luck. James

I ordered an NX kit from John at PTP. Later I ordered the Gen_X upgrade from them, too. Fianlly, I orderd a fuel line adapter.

All my transactiosn were perfect! The only delay I had was on the fuel line adapter. The adapter is made by stillena dn they were backordered on it. Because of the delay, Jon had the unit dropped shiped (overnight) from stillen to me. AT NO CHARGE.

Also, did I mention that John beat Summit by $150 on my NX kit!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your experiences with PTP. Mine have been easy, smooth, and timely. I recommend them.
