JIC SPARTAN DE Type 2 Exhaust Installed
I recently removed the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust and updated it to the JIC DE Type-2 exhaust with the JIC Y-pipe and I must include that I am extremely happy and very impressed! The sound, although its the typical 350z w/ exhaust sound, is very different that the Greddy!
The ground clearance for the entire system is much better than the Greddy with the exception of the primary muffler. With as low as my car is, I ocassionally scrapped the Greddy mid-mufflers on large speed bumps if I wasn't careful. With the JIC, I do not. However, with the Greddy, I was able to jack up the rear of the car without any assistance of a 2x4 piece of wood, but now with the main muffler in place, the Jack doesn't clear by about 1/2 inch.
The install was much easier than the Greddy since the JIC uses a slip fit connector and allows for more adjustment when fitting with various test pipes (since the a few of them seem to be slightly tweeked that make install a few minutes longer.)
It is hard to describe sounds over the internet and I broke my last digi-cam, but it seems that the JIC is quieter at idle, more throaty but not as deep as the Greddy under WOT and on decel, the JIC is less raspy and less of a droning exhaust note.
I am extrememly happy with the new exhaust and the guys at the Enjuku shop all agree and like the JIC over the Greddy exhaust.

Congrats!
You've got good taste. I've always thought that the type 2 was the best looking exhaust on the market for the Z33. It looks like the type of exhaust Nissan would've used if they were a German company. It looks clean!!
Please post sound files if you can.
