well, I finally installed my nismo cold air on my z after I've been driving with my RS-R for a few months. I kno this intake is same as the aem one but I'm just wondering if I've become a deaf lol. When I first heard the sound of this intake on my friend's G35, it was pretty damn loud at WOT but when I floored my z from 1st to 3rd gear, I didn't notice much difference in sound. maybe my RS-R is too loud? I'm still happy with this intake because I've gained some top end power(rpm increased faster than before at 5k rpm to redline so I ended up hitting the rev limiter) anyway, is it just me or anyone else with nismo intake thought it didn't sound much louder than the stock one?

 

i have the nismo cai.. and i heard a difference in the roar.. the sound is much deeper than the stock sound.. well it all depends on what youre used to hearing.. lol

 

yeah like when i first got it, im like wtf i cant hear it but at WOT yeah, it is deeper and it roars.

 

Anytime that you move more air through the engine (and subsequently the exhaust system), the exhaust sound level will increase. A little, a lot, not much is a judgment call.

 

It's not the Nismo. Its your RSR exhaust bro. That thing is LOUD! The only louder exhaust i know of is the first version invidia.

 

Kinda OT: but im juss wondering with aftermarket Intakes...can u still hear the whistle? Or does it get louder as you accelerate?

 

Haven't got my exhust yet so I can still hear my Nismo Intake very well.
