Although I take HP claims on any modification with a large grain of salt, I am looking at the K&N Typhoon CAI vs the K&N Aircharger. They both claim 10+ HP increase but the Aircharger says 10+ HP at 5500 RPM vs the Typhoon 10+ at 6300 RPM.
1. Why the difference in RPM?
2. Which would you prefer for use in a daily driver? Mostlly Highway miles
Short one is the Aircharger. Long one is the Typhoon.
The typhoon gets ambient air from outside the engine bay. Have you raced in July and August? Heat is a killer. Air from inside or outside the engine bay. The choice is up to you.
Good point, but your metal box get really hot with your typhoon, they should have made one in thick plastic or all carbon, did you cover yours with thermotec heat wrap?
